Save time, save money!
People are coming from all over the world and don't necessarily have control over arrival time. My husband and I travelled 5 hours and were exhausted, but had to wait in the lounge until after 3pm for check in. This had never happened to us before. We paid a 20 dollar "resort fee" which no one told us we could use while waiting.

If so, they should really tell you that to at least take some of the edge off. Also found some of the staff to be rude, while others were extremely friendly.
It's like the staff weren't all on the same page. If you want the balcony, go for the king room. We thought the queen room had the nice balcony from the photographs, but actually it was super small, no table, and hubby was nervous even standing out there his problem, not the hotel's. Would probably opt out of a balcony in the future and take one of the updated rooms instead at time of this post, queen balcony room not updated.
Loved the view from our room and how easy it was to navigate Manhattan from the hotel.
The toiletries smelled amazing - have stayed in nice places in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Morocco, Thailand, the list goes on Considering this, the hotel met all expectations. We are both happy to have chosen this hotel for our first trip to the city to celebrate our anniversary. Would probably explore other options in the future, but not opposed to swinging back around. Customer service.
We booked this hotel for our wedding weekend, visited a few weeks before to check out the hotel. When we checked in no one mentioned that we were getting married. It was in the notes! I needed a vase for my bouquet. In short, that exchange could have gone better. It would have made such a difference to me to be recognized upon checkin or anytime during the stay. Location, nice hotel. That you had to pay for resort fees and also to park which was Very nice in historic district old school hotel!!! Very nice. Room not up to standard, sockets hanging off and shower faulty.
Better places to stay. Location, neighbourhood. Light is a little bit dimmed. Great staff. Excellent location, on the main venue and near the UN headquarter. Beddings are super comfy. Location Staff.http://leondumoulin.nl/language/fable/how-i-proved-life.php
Westgate Vacation Villas Resort & Spa - Only a mile from Disney!
The breakfast was monotonous. The bed was very comfortable, nice shower. I was given a refrigerator to keep my personal stuff at no cost plus the staff were very warm and quickly learnt what I preferred to drink at breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance to most key places.
Nice but expensive - Lone Star Westgate
I enjoyed my stay and recommend the hotel. Room was a little small. Didn't like the cubicle in the closet. I couldn't put my luggage in there. So it was in the middle of the floor in the way. The bed was so comfortable!. Staff very Friendly. Close to Time square. Very clean. The location is better suited to those who are okay with walking. It is impossible to miss walking from Grand Central straight shot to the east, on the south side of the street , but we definitely opted for Lyfts when carrying luggage due to it being slightly off the beaten path. Was expecting a more dated hotel; instead was very pleased to have gotten a very charming refurbished but classic-feeling hotel experience.
Room was huge for NY standards, view was really pretty view of older buildings, cathedral , lobby had a very expansive bodega and bar area. Resort fee of 35 plus charge for "incidentals" must pay all at check in. Bedroom was super small and very outdated. Water pressure in the shower was pitiful. Sheets a little dirty, rooms very dated. Lack of facilities in the room for example no fridge. For a 4 star hotel. Location was ok. We advice making the reservation directly on the hotel web site.
